Lewis Taking Gfinet Electronic as CIO

NEW YORK--Gfinet, the electronic trading systems division of interdealer broker Gfi Group, has appointed Russell Lewis to the newly created post of chief information officer as part of its strategy to further transform Gfi Group from a voice to an electronic broker.
"In order to stay competitive and establish markets for customers, we are taking voice markets and making them electronic," Lewis says.
Prior to this change in business approach, Gfi operated largely as a standard voice broker. The
