'Rapid Addition' Readies Launch

LONDON--Rapid Addition, the FIX software start-up led by Kevin Houstoun, former director of electronic equity trading at Citigroup (Salomon Smith Barney), is readying its first product for a launch during the next quarter.
The forthcoming product, initially dubbed "Shortcut," is a workflow automation tool for trade messages that exploits Microsoft’s BizTalk 2004 XML middleware, and converts between FIXML, the FIX (Financial Information Exchange) expression in XML, and multiple versions of the FIX
