2001: Glocer Learned Reuters The Hard Way

LONDON--Reuters’ chief executive Tom Glocer has had a particularly challenging year in his new job. Under the guise of Reuters’ business transformation program, he was in charge of changing the whole look and feel of the company and its technology.

Glocer was chosen to replace long-time CEO Peter Job at the end of last year and stepped into Job’s shoes in July (TTW, June 25). Glocer is the first American chief executive for oh-so-British Reuters.
