Dresdner Bank to Make Its IT Department a Separate Subsidiary

Frankfurt--Dresdner Bank announced plans to spin off its IT services into a separate subsidiary, called Dregis, this summer.

Dregis will set up, develop and operate Dresdner’s infrastructure and also offer its services to customers outside the Dresdner Bank Group. "Dregis will be responsible for the provision, operation and further development of Dresdner Bank’s IT insfrastructure--as well as providing an increasing range of services to third parties in the future," says Bernd Fahrholz, chairman
