ABN Negotiating With EDS to Shift 1,000 TOPS Staffers

AMSTERDAM—If ABN Amro bank enters into a billion-dollar IT outsourcing contract with Plano, Texas-based EDS, approximately 1,000 staff members of the bank’s Technology, Operations and Property Services (TOPS) will be transferred to EDS, confirm EDS officials.

The Amsterdam-based bank late last month announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with EDS for a five-year, IT outsourcing contract valued at €1.5 billion (approximately $1.5 billion) that would cover its wholesale
