US CAN TRADE IN UK STOCKS VIA TRADEPOINT
The Tradepoint Stock Exchange, a screen-based electronic market for securities trading, has been given the green light by the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) to operate in the US, making this the first foreign stock exchange to be allowed to trade there. Using Tradepoint for direct trading on UK securities means that US-based traders and brokers avoid the expense of using an intermediary. Tradepoint's chief executive, Nic Stuchfield, says that it
