Refco Bids for EasyScreen

VENDOR UPDATE

NEW YORK—Refco, the New York-based futures commission merchant (FCM), last week made a bid for EasyScreen, the London-based independent software vendor (ISV).

The offer for EasyScreen, issued by Dawnay Day Corporate Finance on behalf of Refco, values the company at 15.525 pence per share ($0.30), or £14.8 million ($28.4 million)for all of the issued share capital. By close of business on Friday, March 18, EasyScreen shares were trading at 15.75 pence per share ($0.30).
