It will be interesting to see what NYSE Technologies' Stanley Young will do with his new acquisition, assuming that Nyfix shareholders consent to the deal. I had always assumed that when Nyfix was acquired, it would be for its transactional business rather than for its FIX business.

I am not sure what kinds of conditions the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will place on the deal. Is anyone in the market for a matching set of U.S. and European crossing networks?
