BEFORE THE SPIN

The departure last week of Carly Fiorina from her chairman and CEO post at Hewlett-Packard (HP) is likely to serve as a catalyst for change at HP, which appears to have been in a holding pattern for the past year or so. As HP moves on to the next chapter, I think it’s fair to ask how relevant HP will be to the future of the securities trading market. I don’t think I’ll be alone in asking that question in 2005.
