With the start of a new U.S. presidential administration in a few short weeks, the financial markets can also expect greater regulatory oversight and even a possible restructuring of the regulatory apparatus. It's doubtful that any new regulations to come will be as onerous as Sarbanes-Oxley, considering the current economic climate. However, these changes certainly will have their knock-on effects for the IT organization.
