Nids To Place First Nidsport IBM Platform with RDBMS, X Windows At Spears Benzak
PORTFOLIO SYSTEMS
Spears, Benzak, Salomon & Farrell is upgrading the platform it uses to host its National Investors Data Services Inc. (Nids) Nidsport portfolio management system to an IBM RS/6000 running AIX, IBM's version of UNIX. Spears Benzak is the first firm to implement a full UNIX/Nidsport implementation.
Nids is joining other vendors of sophisticated portfolio management systems in offering UNIX and X Windows versions of their systems and adding relational database functionality.
