London Metal Exchange Scraps e-Trading Update


LONDON—The London Metal Exchange (LME) has scrapped an upgrade of its electronic trading platform, delaying the launch of new contracts until Dec. 4, exchange officials confirm.

Last week, the LME announced it would not deploy release 5 of its LME Select trading platform. The new upgrade would have allowed the exchange to launch LMEmini contracts in copper and aluminium this week.
