Colt Enters PaaS, IaaS Provider Space

The vendor plans to roll out the new service using the Tibco DataSynapse cloud computing platform and release the first introductory services to beta clients in the second quarter, with subsequent services and upgrades throughout the year, according to officials.

"One of the reasons why Colt decided to use the Tibco DataSynapse cloud software as the foundation for their platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offering is that we were able to offer Colt this PaaS technology that supported the different types
