Hybrid Trading Still Rules in Fixed Income

"We're realists," says Billy Hult, managing director and head of U.S. markets for electronic dealer-to-client over-the-counter (OTC) trading network Thomson TradeWeb.

"We've invested quite heavily in straight-through processing (STP) because we know there will be some trades done over the phone and we want them to have the same fast service," adds Hult, who spoke at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (Sifma) Fixed-Income Technology & eTrading Conference last week.
