P.R.P Performa, a Bermuda-based fund manager with approximately $2 billion under management serving insurance and reinsurance clients, has implemented Eagle Investment Systems' middle- and back-office applications to improve its data management, accounting, performance attribution and reporting functions.

The deployment was managed in collaboration with STP Investment Services, an investment technology consultancy; Performa utilizes Eagle's platform via the vendor's Eagle ACCESS ASP, and outsources its middle- and back-office operations to STP Investment Services. As such, the manager intends to focus its efforts on core buy-side and client relationship management operations.

The manager has deployed Eagle specifically for accounting and data management, GIPS composite management, performance attribution for fixed income, and client reporting. Eagle represents Performa's third major investment management technology implementation in 10 years, according to chief operating officer Gary LeBlanc in a press release issued by the three firms.

Eagle president and chief executive John Lehner cites the availability of data management, accounting and performance-measurement applications together on a single platform as a key factor in Performa's implementation decision.
