In the final days of 2010, the financial press reported that global asset manager BlackRock planned to bring an internally developed crossing network online this year, which will house the firm’s BlackRock Solutions unit.
If BlackRock successfully launches this trading platform, the move is likely to have repercussions throughout the US market. Primarily, it would help BlackRock pay less in commissions and exchange fees, while making sure the asset manager is not gamed by others in the market
