Perseus Launches Hybrid Transatlantic NJ-Frankfurt Route
The route runs between data center provider Equinix's NY4 facility in Secaucus, NJ and its FR2 International Business Exchange (IBX) datacenter in Frankfurt, and combines microwave connectivity over the terrestrial segments of the route with the vendor's QuanTA transatlantic fiber link.
To obtain its latency figures, Perseus leverages the industry standard RFC2544 benchmarking methodology, which measures the actual fiber optical handoff to customers in the datacenter.
