The venue, which is backed by Google and Lightspeed Financial among other investors, aims to provide a regulated options exchange and clearinghouse for the virtual currency.
The firm is led by Goldman Sachs alumni Paul and Juthica Chou; its general counsel and chief regulatory officer Kari Larsen previously spent time in the enforcement division at the CFTC, as well.
