The ALIVE appliance monitors latency consistency to help firms maintain the levels required by trading strategies.

Dubbed Automated Latency Indicator for Vendors and Exchanges (ALIVE), the tool stores and analyzes data on an appliance that is installed within a firm's data infrastructure─either on-site or in a hosted datacenter environment, for example on an infrastructure managed by West Highland─and uses lightweight daemons to capture data packets from the firm's network so as not to introduce additional latency. The platform then monitors the latency delta on an ongoing basis to ensure that latency
