The TNS–Radianz deal hints at underlying issues in trader voice

Waters Wrap: As part of its cost-cutting program, BT shipped its Radianz unit to TNS, but the deal didn’t include its Trading & Command trader voice property. Anthony finds that interesting.

On September 2, Transaction Network Services (TNS) announced it was acquiring BT’s Radianz business. This did not come as a surprise. Several sources had been telling Nyela Graham and me that a sale was imminent. The first source to divulge this did so on July 2, and even before that, the Financial Times broke the news last October that BT was shopping the unit.
