CME’s Duffy addresses outages as exchanges push toward 24/7 trading

These are the dates of three major outages recently experienced by CME Group. The disruptions are becoming a problem.
CME Clearing recorded eight hours and 31 minutes of outages in the last quarter of 2025—the longest downtime in a three-month period for the central counterparty since Q1 2017. Last year alone, the CCP reported seven outages totaling 16 hours and 50 minutes, and two of these incidents occurred in Q4, accounting for more
