Investment Managers Look Forward To Deployment Of Web Technologies


NEW YORK--The buy side’s deployment of web technologies probably involved more talk than action in 1999. But a number of firms set the pace early on, and vendors -- some of them startups -- began to unveil creative solutions to industry issues using Internet and web technologies.

One early adopter of web technologies on the user side was London-based Global Asset Management (GAM). At a Waters seminar in the spring, Dana Cuffe, chief information officer and director of IT for GAM, described how
