It was quite a year, to say the least. This could be the time to recall the layoffs and tragedies that marked 2001, but we’ve lived through them once, and that’s enough.

If we are the sum of our experiences, there are a few things in the immediate future that we can expect a leaner, more resilient securities industry to carry into the new year. Geographically distributed architectures will better prevent against a single point of failure. Redundant communications
