The Ant or the Grasshopper?

As I sit back and enjoy autumn in New York, I can’t help but wonder if the coming winter will be one of those miserable ones that the Empire State gets every five years or so. It also reminds me to wring everything I can out of the current season before winter arrives. Similarly, the fixed-income industry should ask itself if it has wrung everything it possibly could out of its boom over the last few years.

Things are starting to look up in the equities market. So far
