Fidelity CIO Don Haile has a group devoted to looking out for new technology that might benefit the firm. Among the more interesting forward-thinking applications his team is using is a product called Managed Objects, which allows staff to see the entire network from end to end. But don’t expect to find him seeking out the latest high-tech toy on weekends. He’s not a gadget guy and has even given up his RIM pager because it was too distracting.
