OMSes play an increasingly critical role in the asset management business for traders, portfolio managers and operations staff, thanks to the rapid growth in trade volumes and a subsequent need for more efficient workflows, the report finds. The report predicts that global spending on OMS applications will grow over the next four years at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12 percent. This is in stark contrast to overall buy-side spending, which is expected to grow at a CAGR of only 7 to 8
