While the situation on Wall Street may not be as dire as The Boss intoned, firms have clearly become more comfortable with the concept of outsourcing functions outside of monotonous back-office tasks.

Of the many lessons learned from the financial crisis, there is one that may not be well-viewed from a populist perspective, but is a truth nonetheless. After all the bloodletting, the tens of thousands of jobs lost
