AMEX Joins CBOE, CSE, Reuters In Developing Off-Hours Trading Net For Options, Equities

The American Stock Exchange and the Chicago Board Options Exchange are equal partners in a company that will contract with Reuters Holdings PLC to build a Globex-like system for trading options and equities worldwide during evening hours, confirms Kenneth Leibler, president of the American Stock Exchange. Both exchanges say they expect to reach a final agreement on the project with Reuters within two months. The system should go live a year after the accord is reached, Leibler says.
