In the fourth quarter of 2009, Morgan Stanley launched Matrix, its Adobe Flex-based single-dealer platform, pursuing an ambitious goal of delivering real-time data, market commentary, analytics, trade ideas, execution capabilities and multimedia content with an up-to-date presentation style. The Matrix platform has since provided multi-asset-class execution and advanced analytical tools in its e-commerce offering. Matrix does not require installation and runs directly through web browsers
