Waters Rankings 2020: Best Cybersecurity Provider—Eze Castle Integration
In the first of its two wins in this year’s Waters Rankings, Eze Castle Integration (ECI) wins the best cybersecurity provider category at a time when cybersecurity issues continue to dominate headlines, not only in the finance press but increasingly in the mainstream press as well. However, anyone who has followed these awards for the last few years would not be surprised to see ECI yet again in this category’s winners’ circle, given that the Boston-based IT services, technology and consulting firm has had a stranglehold on this category, with five wins on the bounce.
ECI’s cybersecurity services consist of its Eze Cybersecurity Bundle, a managed solution that provides critical security layers for identifying, protecting and defending clients against cybersecurity threats. It combines 24x7 monitoring and response via ECI’s security information and event management (SIEM) platform, threat prevention, security intelligence and awareness to reduce threat response times and minimize the risk of cyberattacks. Beyond its Cybersecurity Bundle, ECI also offers its Eze Managed SIEM, Eze Dark Web Monitoring, security awareness testing and training, and Eze Patch and Asset Management services.
According to Mary Beth Hamilton, vice president of global marketing at ECI, the Covid-19 pandemic has, by way of precipitating new working arrangements, led to a rise in new forms of cyber-attacks. “Across the industry, we are seeing new methods of cyber-attacks that exploit the lack of direct interaction between staff in this new remote environment,” she explains. “Cyber criminals are also taking advantage of home networking vulnerabilities as well as executing increasing ransomware attacks.”
In July 2020, ECI acquired Alphaserve Technologies, a New York-based provider of infrastructure technology and digital IT services, an acquisition that, according to Hamilton, has allowed the firm to extend its global reach, deepen its talent pool and provide clients with greater access to advanced technology-driven solutions. “We will continue to bring new cybersecurity solutions [to market] as well as cloud solutions that support digital transformation,” she says. “We will also expand the breadth of solutions we deliver in the areas where clients most often seek guidance, including automation, application development and CIO advisory.”
