Standard Chartered Bank recognized the extent and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic early in 2020. Its win in the best client communication initiative category in the inaugural WatersTechnology Asia Awards is thanks to its SC Connect App, illustrating the bank’s ability to identify a new and dramatic area of concern and go live with a new application to address this need within days.

The SC Connect App was developed by the bank’s ISDM Team to connect employees virtually, at a time when travel
