Witad Awards 2022: Engineer/programmer of the year—Ania Musial, Bloomberg

For Bloomberg’s Ania Musial, programming is genetic. A native of Poland, and a transplant to Michigan, then to Manhattan, Musial grew up with two “computer nerds” for parents. For a while, she denied that she was one too, but in the end, it was more prudent to lean in.

Now a data scientist in the office of the CTO, she’s overseen a swath of initiatives focused on machine learning and data science, organized developer summits, and spent three years chairing Bloomberg’s Machine Learning Guild
