While we haven't seen groceries come crashing onto our kitchen counters with a resounding thud or a sky full of personal dirigibles, the article proves that some foresight isn't far off the mark - he predicted that photographs would be telegraphed and that refrigerators would chill all foods. That said, predictions don't have to be so fantastic. Looking at the first half of 2008, it's not unwise to foresee a bumpy start that will impact the technologists who serve the buy side.
