, formerly chief operating officer of Instinet, has been appointed to the newly created position of vice chairman. He continues to report to Michael Sanderson, president and CEO of Instinet and chairman and CEO of Reuters America Holdings. Also promoted at Instinet was Richard Schenkman, executive vice president. Schenkman, previously responsible for domestic trading, was given additional responsibility for global trading and global technology.
