Merrill Lynch To Offer Service Providing Securities Pricing On Emerging Markets


Merrill Lynch & Co. is launching a new version of its Securities Pricing Service (SPS) to track so-called emerging markets. The move is aimed at satisfying growing institutional demand for broader global end-of-day pricing data.

The new service--which is yet to be named--will be offered in addition to Merrill's current international pricing service. It will include an Emerging Country Index and end-of-day prices from a number of sources worldwide.

The index will track between 60 and 70 government
