Hoenig & Co. has teamed up with market data vendor Bloomberg L.P. to offer the Independent Research Summary Service (IRSS), which carries research notes and summaries from top independent securities analysts. Available via the Bloomberg network, IRSS, is apparently being positioned to compete with established research services like Citicorp's Institutional Brokers Estimate Service (I/B/E/S) and Thomson Financial Services Inc.'s First Call.
