AIMR's Directors Approve GIPS Standards; Will Track Global Performance

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-- The board of directors for the Association for Investment Management Research has approved the final version of the Global Investment Performance Standards, or GIPS. The approval follows AIMR's staff revisions to the GIPS after receiving comments from fund managers and plan sponsors.

At the same time, the board has also modified the older performance presentation standards, or PPS, to align them more closely with the GIPS. Under the modified PPS, fund managers are now
