Reuters Releases Strong Second Quarter Earnings; Instinet Posts Healthy Gains

Reuters Holdings PLC released its second quarter earnings, citing an overall revenue increase of 19 percent, with some of the largest gains stemming from the vendor's Instinet Corp. subsidiary. Reuters' order-execution system vendor topped its 1992 second quarter performance--reporting a 74 percent increase in revenues in the first six months of this year.
