In its quest for a new trading system, San Diego-based Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management, with $29 billion in assets, has narrowed its shortlist down to a single product--the Longview Group's Landmark system. A selected group of NACM's portfolio managers and compliance officers--as well as users in the firm's operations area--are now testing Landmark for a 90-day period on a so-called limited-release basis.
