Primark's Trapeze Buy: Will Vendor Seek to Beat Or Opt To Join First Call?


In a deal inked last December (IMT, Jan. 19), Primark Corp. purchased the Trapeze research system from Hong Kong-based Bondtech International Ltd. Trapeze, which is a graphical research delivery system, could emerge as a competitor to First Call Corp.'s Research Direct and Multex Systems Inc.'s Multex Publisher. Trapeze is currently only available in Asia, but Primark plans to move the product into the European marketplace later this year and to the U.S. in 1997.
