Informacion Selectia SA (Infosel) (www.infosel.com) is now owned by Terra Networks (www.terra.com.mx), a provider of Internet access and local language interactive content for the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking world. The deal is valued at almost $300 million. Shortly after the buy, Terra, a majority-owned subsidiary of Telefonica SA, filed for an IPO of its shares. Infosel, which claims to have an 80 percent market share, offers real-time news and market data services on the Mexican market
