Pushing is better than pulling. At least that’s the case at the Amsterdam offices of ING Group, where managers were concerned about increased Web surfing and diminishing productivity caused by employees searching for and gathering information from the same Web sites day in and day out. ING officials wanted to increase the flow of internal memos and employee information such as benefits, vacation time and company policies.

The ING officials decided to take a cue from the blogging world. Bloggers
