NYSE Kicks Off Hybrid Pilot

NEW YORK—Just in time for the gift-giving season, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) gaveits floor brokers and specialists a sneak peek of the NYSE Hybrid Market systemto come, and the initial results are encouraging, say NYSE officials.

On Dec. 15, NYSE officials rolled out the first phase of a four-phase pilot programfor the new trading platform. The pilot program will last 90 days or until theexchange gains approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)for the hybrid
