Reference Data Raises its Profile
Initiatives to create systems to share data enterprise-wide moved up the agenda this year, and are set to become a priority in 2008. The latest vendor to enter this space is data giant Reuters, which launched a new enterprise data management (EDM) offering at Swift's Sibos show in October, taking on software providers like Asset Control and GoldenSource.
Asset Control had already featured prominently in the headlines this year, as one of a key series of mergers and acquisitions with its purchase
