Markit Boat to Cut Real-time Data Fees

The move is designed to broaden the audience for real-time Boat data by making the content more affordable, particularly for users at smaller institutions. From Jan. 1, 2010, individual users will be able to subscribe to the vendor's pan-European real-time feed, which currently covers around 8,500 European stocks, for a monthly fee of just €40, compared to the €120 monthly fee that has been in place since the trade reporting facility was launched two years ago (IMD, Oct. 22, 2007).
