Amex Picks MST for New Ticker

The American Stock Exchange will use software from Market Systems Technology to replace its legacy ticker plant, following the breakdown of negotiations with Activ Financial and HyperFeed Technologies, sources tell Inside Market Data.
Last May, Amex chief information officer Antoine Shagoury told IMD that he wanted to migrate off the exchange's proprietary ticker plant to a commodity hardware alternative utilizing the Linux operating system during 2006 (IMD, May 9, 2005). He said he was in talks
