Icap-EBS Deal Leads to Questions

London-based interdealer broker Icap's acquisition of foreign exchange spot broker EBS Group, announced two weeks ago, has raised questions about Icap's plans for EBS' market data products.

EBS' market data product line consists of EBS Live, which provides live, streaming prices; EBS Ticker, which offers third-party distribution of real-time EBS Spot prices; EBS Rates, which offers EBS data over Bloomberg; and EBS Data Mine, for historical data.

Both companies have said it is too early to delve
