HSH Nordbank Replaces Terminals, Outsources Data Tech Platform

The rollout of the new screens was finished in May, and brings the total number of 3000 Xtra terminals at the bank to 150. The Reuters terminals replace 120 positions of the Activ8 terminal display from Telerate, which was bought by Reuters at the end of 2004. Reuters has since discontinued support for Telerate products.

"On the front end… 3000 Xtra… is [now] our main data platform, along with Bloomberg for premium users," says Maike Ponath, a market data manager for the bank in Kiel.

The move
