It's a Deal: DBC Buys GTIS; ADP Quits Market Data Biz

ORGANIZATION & MANAGEMENT

NEW YORK: As predicted (IMD, July 13), ADP has sold its Global Treasury Information Services (GTIS) unit to San Mateo, Calif.-based Data Broadcasting Corp. (DBC). The deal, which closed at the end of last month, is due to be announced imminently.

The sale of GTIS, following hot on the heels of ADP's agreement in principle to sell its front-office quote-terminal business to Bridge Information Systems (IMD, July 13), marks ADP's final exit from the real-time data business.
