Reuters Launches RT-Based News 2000 In North America; Separate Feed Scheduled

As expected (IMD, Sept. 14), Reuters America last week launched News 2000 to add news management capabilities to its PC-based Reuter Terminal (RT). The service, which allows users to filter and customize incoming streams of stories from a number of Reuters news services, will also be made available as a direct broadcast feed by mid-1993.
The News 2000 feed will be carried over Reuters' Integrated Data Network (IDN), placing one more nail in the Monitor network's coffin. Although IDN is intended
